Kids Yoga
Frequently Asked Questions
What should my child wear?
Something they can move freely in and are comfortable wearing. Leggings/shorts and a T-shirt are the most common attire. We practice bare foot so no stockings and skirts please. A jumper is advised for the cooler months and socks for relaxation at the end of the class.
What do they need to bring?
A yoga mat if they have one (we have some at the space too) and a water bottle. If coming straight from school, they may want to bring a small snack before the class begins.
Can my child join the class even if they are not within the age range?
It depends on the child, but generally yes.
Can my child start mid-course?
Subject to availability of space in the class – YES!
Can I speak with someone before I book?
Absolutely, give Kathleen a call on 0426280966 to discuss your child’s needs.
Can my child come to a casual class instead of the whole 6 week course?
Yes. Casual rates are $18.
Can I drop my child off at the class? Or do I need to be present?
Feel free to take advantage of 45 mins of freedom! Go for a walk along the Jinker Track and back, do your shopping, sit in the car or on the deck at the centre and read a nice book in the peaceful surrounds. Your child will be in safe hands with Kathleen, a certified Children’s Yoga Teacher, current First Aid and Blue Card holder.
“Kathleen is a kind, patient teacher and her classes are relaxing and easy to follow. I highly recommend practising with Kathleen if you get the chance.”

“Kathleen is an AMAZING yoga teacher! I try to get to her classes as often as I can as I find them incredibly relaxing with just the right amount of challenge–and Kathleen always brings a very positive energy to the class which I just love. My kids have also enjoyed her classes and, some months later, are still talking about how great they were. I recommend her classes to everyone!”
